Advanced Adventure Diver Course

For many, this is the next step after their basic certification. In this course, we build upon your basic Open Water Diver skills to help you dive more comfortably in more challenging situations and environments.

As part of this course, you will conduct 6 dives, each with a different learning goal or theme. Two specific themes are required - each diver will conduct a Navigation dive, and a Deep dive. During the navigation dive you will become more familiar using a compass, as well as the natural elements of the dive site, to orient yourself and find specific locations. On the Deep dive, you will learn about special considerations and precautions that are important when diving deeper, and will conduct a dive to a maximum of 100 feet/30 meters.

For the final 4 dives, the student can choose from a number of options, including:

Advanced Buoyancy Control*

Drift Diving*

Marine Ecosystem Awareness*

Night/Limited Visibility Diving*

Wreck Diving

Drysuit Diving

Sidemount Diving

*recommended choices for those who have less than 50 logged dive.
